About the Tick Tool

The Tick Tool was designed by a team of inventors who recognized the need for a better way to remove and trap ticks from People & Pets. The Tick Tool design team established several objectives for the product. They included:

• Easy to use
• One handed operation
• Ergonomically designed to comfortably fit in the user's hand
• Able to remove all tick species, including the very small Deer Tick
• The ability to securely capture the tick once it was removed from the patient
• Eliminate the need for the operator to touch the tick

We are happy to say that the team has met each of these goals! The Tick Tool features a "Scoop and Close" design that makes removing ticks safe and easy. The "V" notch automatically guides the tool to the point were the ticks mouthparts are penetrating the victims skin. This simple design feature allows The Tick Tool to quickly remove even the smallest ticks. The patented slide closure captures the tick in the collection scoop. This eliminates the mad rush to the toilet or trash can to dispose of the tick.
